Retatrutide is an investigational synthetic peptide that acts on three receptor targets at once: glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide, glucagon-like peptide-1, and glucagon. It is developed by Eli Lilly and appears in the literature and in trial registries under the code LY3437943. The molecule belongs to a class of engineered peptides designed to resist rapid breakdown and permit infrequent subcutaneous administration. No regulatory agency has approved it for clinical use, and all available human data come from controlled trials rather than from routine practice.
The intended pharmacology combines three signals in one molecule. GLP-1 receptor activation reduces appetite and slows gastric emptying, effects already exploited by approved incretin-based therapies. GIP receptor engagement is associated with improved insulin sensitivity and with direct effects on adipose tissue, although how much it contributes to overall outcomes is still debated. Glucagon receptor agonism raises energy expenditure and supports hepatic lipid handling, a mechanism that also tends to increase glucose output. The triple profile is hypothesized to produce a larger metabolic effect than single or dual agonism, but the relative weight of each receptor in humans is not settled.

Natural platelet-derived antimicrobial peptides have been discovered to play pivotal roles in platelet-dependent immune response beyond synthetic modifications. Platelet microbicidal proteins (PMPs), kinocidins, and cationic host defense peptides (CHDPs) are active against a wide range of pathogens through membrane disruption and immune signaling. By mimicking or enhancing these natural antimicrobial functions, synthetic platelets can potentially serve as a novel therapeutic tool for infection prevention. The implementation of antimicrobial platelets are relevant in the context of currently increasing rates of antibiotic resistance and hospital-acquired infection. Compared to conventional antibiotics, artificial platelets may be able to deliver a localized and specific response to infection, which limits the necessity for systemic antimicrobial therapy and decreases the potential for resistance emergence. As research on this subject continues to grow, antimicrobial platelets may be of consideration in trauma medicine, postoperative recovery, and other clinical practices to optimize immune defense.

Never advertised, and practiced by only one individual who healed me, Dr. Quimby of Portland, ME., an old gentleman who had made it a research for twenty-five years, starting from the standpoint of magnetism thence going forward and leaving that behind. I discovered the art in a moment's time, and he acknowledged it to me; he died shortly after and since then, eight years, I have been founding and demonstrating the science.

The expansion of Toronto in the east, in the 19th century, led to the development of housing stock along the Kingston Road and Danforth Road corridors in Scarborough. This led to the creation of a transit line. In 1893, the Toronto and Scarboro' Electric Railway, Light and Power Company built a single-track radial line along Kingston Road to Blantyre. Over the next 13 years this was extended to West Hill. In 1904, the line became the Scarboro Division of the Toronto and York Radial Railway. Service continued along this line until 1936 when it was replaced by bus service.
== History == The PUN was founded in 1957 as a political platform to support the presidential candidacy of "Papa Doc" Duvalier in the 1957 general election. In the aftermath of the July 1958 coup attempt, the Tonton Macoute — officially named Volunteers of the National Security (French: Volontaires de la Sécurité Nationale, VSN) — was formed as the paramilitary wing of the PUN. In 1963, other political parties in Haiti were outlawed, making the PUN the single political party of the nation. When "Papa Doc" Duvalier died in 1971, his son "Baby Doc" Duvalier succeeded him as the President of the country and the leader of the party. The party would remain in power until the fall and exile of "Baby Doc" Duvalier in 1986, at the height of the Anti-Duvalier protest movement, after which the party would enter a low profile stage, including the change of its name to National Progressive Party (French: Parti progressiste national, PPN). After the return of "Baby Doc" Duvalier from exile in 2011, the party began a process of reconstitution under its original name from 2014, and started opening departmental offices. Suffering a setback with the death of "Baby Doc" Duvalier in 2014, the party nominated Marc-Arthur Drouillard as its candidate in the 2015 presidential election. Towards that time, the legal representative of the party was Philomène Exe.
=== With sulfur species === Thionyl chloride will transform sulfinic acids into sulfinyl chlorides Sulfonic acids react with thionyl chloride to produce sulfonyl chlorides. Sulfonyl chlorides have also been prepared from the direct reaction of the corresponding diazonium salt with thionyl chloride. Thionyl chloride can be used in variations of the Pummerer rearrangement.

=== Rome === The traditional Roman diet consisted of grain, fruits, olive oil, meat and wine. Of all these, grain was extremely important to the Roman people. During Rome's height, it is estimated that the city itself needed 150,000 tons of grain and millions of liters of water and wine every year to survive. It was traditionally the responsibility of the Roman government to guarantee that there was enough food for distribution among the people. In times of shortages, bad harvests, or interference by pirates, the government made sure to fulfill its obligation to food distribution. Officials would sometimes buy food themselves and then sell it back to the people at little to no cost. When Rome eventually established its Empire, foreign lands would send taxes in grain to Rome, which helped decrease the chance of a food distribution crisis.
=== Migration of can components === In canning toxicology, migration is the movement of substances from the can itself into the contents. One toxic substance that can migrate is lead, which causes lead poisoning, but has been phased out of usage in cans since the 20th century. A newer concern is bisphenol A (BPA), a potential endocrine disruptor that is an ingredient in the epoxy commonly used to coat the inner surface of cans. Some cans are manufactured with a BPA-free enamel lining produced from plant oils and resins. In February 2018, the Can Manufacturers Institute, a trade association in the United States, surveyed the industry and reported that at least 90% of food cans no longer contained BPA.
β-Carotene (beta-carotene) is an organic, strongly colored red-orange pigment abundant in fungi, plants, and fruits. It is a member of the carotenes, which are terpenoids (isoprenoids), synthesized biochemically from eight isoprene units and thus having 40 carbons. Dietary β-carotene is a provitamin compound, converting in the body to retinol (vitamin A). In foods, it has rich content in carrots, pumpkin, spinach, and sweet potato. It is used as a dietary supplement and may be prescribed to treat erythropoietic protoporphyria, an inherited condition of sunlight sensitivity. β-carotene is the most common carotenoid in plants. When used as a food coloring, it has the E number E160a. The structure was deduced in 1930. Isolation of β-carotene from fruits abundant in carotenoids is commonly done using column chromatography. It is industrially extracted from richer sources such as the algae Dunaliella salina. The separation of β-carotene from the mixture of other carotenoids is based on the polarity of a compound. β-Carotene is a non-polar compound, so it is separated with a non-polar solvent such as hexane. Being highly conjugated, it is deeply colored, and as a hydrocarbon lacking functional groups, it is lipophilic.

It is an investigational peptide that activates three hormone receptors: GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon. It is being studied mainly for obesity and type 2 diabetes, and it is not approved for any clinical use. Published information comes from controlled trials rather than from general practice.
No. As of the most recent public information it remains investigational in every jurisdiction. Material sold under this name outside trials is a research chemical, not an approved medicine. Current status should always be checked against regulator notices.
Dual agonists act on two receptors, usually GIP and GLP-1. Retatrutide adds glucagon receptor activity, which is associated with increased energy expenditure. Whether that third component adds clinically meaningful benefit over dual agonism remains an open question.
